Army books have been revised to fulfill the needs of the new edition of AT-43. Tests with these new lists, built around army boxes are taking all our time. Dice roll between coantainers and vehicles. They hustle miniatures like stray bullets from murderous salvos.
It is time for us to tell you more. From now on, each army is built around Army boxes and other references are considered as add-ons to these boxes.
We will deal more with that later, but we cannot resist the temptation to give you sneak peeks right now!
UNA:
• Borz can call for artillery strikes able to threaten... C3s !
• Newton acts faster but also more often than other heros.
• Stark gets freed from his Promise disadvantage.
Therians:
• A new routine is up. "Fighters creation" allows you to create units of Rank 1 fighters like Storm Arachns.
• Urash can be used as a transport. Therians fighters from his company can get in or out of the EMI Grid in contact base to base with him.
• Tiamat… Well… What can we say ? She can raise from the dead, taking place of a reinforcement unit.
Red Blok:
The ultimate test phase in "en route". Rules are done.
In At-43 2.0, we keep the main assets of this successful game. Hence, the Universal Table of Resolution remains untouched, as well as the troops stats. However, some rules and game effects were changed or deleted.
AT-43 2.0 will give you new rules on indirect fire.
A new firing mode will be introduced: Covering Fire. Thanks to that new rule, a shot can force enemy troopers to test their cold blood (ex morale) and maybe get disorganized because of that.
All lines of sight are true lines of sight and shall be checked from the miniatures point of view. Sizes indicated on the cards are obsolete. The introduction of "salvos" during hand to hand combat will make multiplayer games even more exciting. Yes you read it correctly, you will be able to play AT-43 2.0 with more than one opponent !!
AT-43 won't change its name. We're still 43 years after the Trauma. Nevertheless, it will be possible to choose a conflict zone that will allow to play with allies from other armies.
Making evolve the timeline would give the false impression that older armies have a richer background than recent ones. By keeping the universe in AT-43, we privilege the opening of conflicts to new strategic and narrative possibilities.
In AT-43 2.0, the various forces are all equal in AT-43 because no one escapes war.
Wizard of words
What‘s your job? Now that is one thorny question for a couple of reasons.
On the one hand, it means I need to sum up my job in three words or less. Officially, my contract says writer. But actually I do the work of a writer, game designer, reviser and proofreader. Didier Poli, an illustrator who used to work for Rackham, called it being a wizard of words.
On the other hand, I need to make sure the person asking the question really understands my job. This is not a banal activity I do and this job is practically unknown to the larger public. For the elder crowd, they initially see me a guy inventing Monopoly games all day. In the worse case they’ll believe I entertain hotel customers with corny activities. The younger people, they immediately think video games, and they imagine me bolted to a computer screen typing lines and lines of code all day long.
As for the little ones, they believe I’m one of Santa’s secret agents…And that is awesome, and leads to some cute discussions.
Here is the typical pattern when I try to explain my profession:

Zavodnaya Revolutsya
This company runs like a clockwork. It’s a marvel of engineering lovingly maintained by ten mechanics, and there’s no chance its firepower will ever fail.
This doomsday machine even manages to jam the enemy command chain. Who said the future of mankind wasn’t electromechanical?
Choosing between GenCol and Frontline wasn’t easy, but GenCol offers even more advanced technology than Frontline. This will therefore be a GenCol company so as to duplicate Red Blok’s absolute weapon, the twins from Hell, I give you Odin O-1 and Manon O-2.
Unit 1: speaking about which, here’s Urod, piloted by Odin and Manon.
There, two mechanics already.
Unit 2: 8 Krasnye Soldaty with 2 mechanics and 1 grenade launcher bearer, led by sergeant Anastasiya Tymofiyeva.
4 mechanics and a first grain of sand in the opposing machine.
Unit 3: Dragonov Groupa A, 3 AT Gauss gun bearers.
No mechanic here, but a lot of prospective work for those on the other side.
Unit 4: Urod, piloted by Odin and Manon.
6 mechanics pampering two Urod: that’s mechanical horror for you.

ViV (Vrachov i Vrachi)
This company aims at frustrating your opponent sick. With a little luck, he will have to see a doctor… Possibly one of yours, because there are a lot in this company: no less than eleven medics. With such a medical staff, all the men you will lose will have fallen from the gaming table but certainly not been shot dead.

State-of-the-art medicine is the domain of GenCol, which offers services even the UNA and Therians envy. Without surprise, our company belongs to this faction.
Unit 1: 14 Krasnye Soldaty with 2 medics and 3 rocket launcher bearers, led by captain Vrachov. All of them are equipped with bacteriologic grenades, it fits the company theme.
We already have 3 medics there.
Unit 2: 12 Krasnye Soldaty with 2 medics and 1 grenade launcher bearer, led by captain Vrachov.
Now 6!
Unit 3: 3 MedTech.
ONI offers 3 more medics, not to mention the field hospital. We now have 9 of them.
Unit 4: KK5, piloted by captain Vrachov.
